"Grandma Can we listen to the God tapes?" Asked Sophia our 4 year old granddaughter. Judy was puzzled, then Sophia cleared up the mystery, "You know the tapes (disks) Grandad listens to in the car." Grandma switched on the disk of the Gospels put out by Zondervan. There are lots of recordings specially for Children too.

Can you read the Bible while you iron clothes? But you can listen. Maybe with all the MP3 players and so on we are again becoming an oral culture. In the right hand column we offer some websites where you can easily find Bible Verses, and sites where you can get worship downloads for free and those where you can purchase them.

To the right you will see a link to Bible Gateway permitting you to access free Bible Searches and all sorts of related resources, including audio Bible on Computer.

eBible has an extremely powerful Bible Text Search patterned on Google Advanced Search.

Zondervan is the Publisher of the New International Bible. If you search their site for Audio Bible you will see a good selection of Bible and Bible Stories on CD and for Audio Download at reasonable prices.

There is a link to Audible a seller of Audio Downolads of high quality. Audible handles all kinds of books but includes Biographies and/or Confessions of St Patrick, St Francis, St Augustine. They have a good internal search and you click to hear a sample before you buy. Members buy the Downloads at a much lower price.

Librivox: Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence (1605-1691) Click to read description written by Kirsten Ferreri, and to download the beautiful free recording she has made. Once inside the Librivox site you could choose to click on Zip file of the entire book. (When you find a Librivox gem like this, please send me an Email with the exact Title, Author, and Reader/Recordist.)
Librivox is a supplier of free audio downloads of all kinds of audio books that are in the public domain. This includes some older versions of the Bible. The scope for sharing secular classics to folk who cannot get around so much can be a great opportunity for loving service

There are lots of sites including Bible Gateway who enable you to listen to modern translations on computer. They use a different format from the MP3 players.

On this page we want to have a simple Blog for people who are finding other ways to worship where some of the traditional things are just not happening for you.

On the Aidan and Hilda page go to
Home > Resources > CD's > then look for underlined download links for samples.
