You will read about, current art exhibitions in the city. Psalms and Wisdom is an art exhibition in St, Andrew's Uniting Church, Ann St, Brisbane. (Corner of Creek Street Diagonally opposite Central Station)
Exhibition open week days, 11 am - 2pm. till March 21st.
Immediately following this exhibition St. Andrew's Uniting Church will stage a further art exhibition "Brisbane Stations of the Cross Project Easter 2010"
by Lindsay Farrell. Over a period of more than two decades, Lindsay has been developing his own vision of the Queensland landscape in a Christian framework.
In the Stations project he seeks to engage with the Brisbane CBD and churches across the city and present a way of tracing the story of Easter in our place and time. There will also be a Brisbane City Pilgrimage on Saturday 27 March Beginning from St John's Cathedral, Anne St, the City. (Much more detail on visionaries)

I find Mardi's interview with Dianne Minnaar very helpful and inspiring.
Diane says that her art is clearly a form of worship. Her painting Paradise in Park, she says is to show "Growth and life in all its fullness". "When I paint," Says Diane, "I stretch out my hand to God to ask for his radiance on my canvas."

A Mother and Daughter Duo
It is great to be able to share an interest with our children. This has happened for Dianne and her daughter Kaye who are both exhibiting in Psalms and Wisdom the art exhibition in St, Andrew's Uniting Church (See Details above.) Dianne's work was on the symbolism of the rock in Christian worship, Kaye's work can be seen on the front page of the Visionaries website. This is what Dianne says of her painting.

Psalm 8:3-4 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? |
My prayer is that my paintings would point the viewer heavenward to our Creator. He alone is majestic and glorious. To think that he even considers us is reason enough to revere and worship Him. My paintings are an expression of thanks and praise to God for the relationship we can share with Him by His grace, through faith. |
